The Perfect Brownie Tin

We have found the perfect brownie tin from Alan Silverwood. The 8in x 8in tin has been Described by BBC Good Food magazine as "brilliant but simple". Why is it so great? because it has a slide out base!

All Alan Silverwood bakeware is manufactured from a special anaodised alloy specially chosen for its property of fast, even heat distribution, called "Heat Technology". What does it mean? Consistent results & even baking. The base of the the unique Eyecatcher Brownie Pans simply slides out for a perfect result time and time again.

This brownie tin has been tried and tested by our staff and we give the full thumbs up. It cooks evenly, is lightweight and cleans really easily.

Jam!

Ok, so you don't exactly bake jam, do you? But think of all of the uses that jam has in the kitchen when it comes to baking…

Filling a Victoria Sponge, making jam tarts or simply for spreading on home baked bread.

As with everything, it's best when you make it yourself. Now is the perfect time for making jam – all the summer fruits are ready, available and at their best. Strawberries, raspberries, currants, gooseberries, soon to be followed by blackberries in September.

Find everything you need for jam making here: http://www.whiskcooking.co.uk/CatalogProducts.asp?categoryid=2

A little tip: you'll often find grocers discounting soft fruit at the end of the day, if you can't use it that evening, freeze it for use at a later date.

Oh, and by the way, Whisk are also about to launch their brand new website! We have had a sneak preview and things are looking better than a cake in the oven!
